Where Do We Go From Here

The below pictures show a EVERGREENGARDENS Rough Bark Trident

This tree is currently in my garden.  The base of the tree is about 5 inches.  Tree stands about 9 foot tall.

This spring I intend to layer 5 or 6 branches for new trees. ( OUTSTANDING VARIETY FOR BONSAI )

After layering tree will be pruned back for basic shape and allowed to grow out in garden for 2-4 more years.  During this time tree will be pruned back at least one time a year for shape.  When I am satisfied with trunk size and taper, I will remove from the ground.  Tree will then grow out for 1-3 years before going into bonsai container.

Some Pines just take longer than others

My guess is about 5-7 more years

today root work and still working taper

Changed pots--now is the time to work on height and ramification

always fun to build your tree
